Typical response window: 8–12 weeks.
We’re building a catalogue with personality. Finished manuscripts should have a clear reader, a strong hook, and a confident voice.
Include the title, genre, word count, short pitch, intended audience, and comparable titles if available.
Send the first three chapters or first 10,000 words in PDF or DOCX format.
Include a one- to two-page summary of the complete story, including the ending.
Tell us about your writing background, publications, website, or relevant social links.
We check fit, premise, audience, voice, and whether the submission package is complete.
Projects that look like a potential fit move to a deeper sample or full-manuscript read when appropriate.
We consider the work as a publishing project: story, positioning, audience, editorial needs, and practical fit.
We respond with a decision or next step. A request for more material is not a publication offer.
Initial review → sample/full read when appropriate → editorial consideration → decision and next steps
Yes. Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please tell us if your manuscript is accepted elsewhere while it is under review.
Previously published or self-published projects are considered selectively. Include the publication history, rights status, and any meaningful sales or readership information in your query.
Submitting a manuscript does not transfer any rights. Rights are discussed only if SlushBucket makes a publication offer, and any agreement is provided in writing before rights are granted.
Use a clear subject line with your manuscript title and genre. For general questions that are not submissions, use the Contact page.
